When news hit that blogging powerhouses Gala Darling (Gala Darling), Kat Williams (Rock n Roll Bride) and Shauna Haider (Nubby Twiglet) were bringing their stylish buns to Melbourne I was scrambling to my inbox with excitement. As the headmistresses of their cleverly crafted Blogcademy workshops they would be dropping in to share their pearls of wisdom with a group of very lucky ladies. I needed a piece of that cake.
Remembering that Gala was the very reason I even began hooping way back in 2007, and consequently flipped my life on it’s head in the most fabulous way, I was seriously in energetic debt to her and wanted to share the love the best way I know how > HOOPS!
Excited by Gala’s gorgeous response, she writes the best love letters, I got to crafting 70 uniquely sparkling gift hoops for the blogging babes coming to Melbourne.
Aside from meeting the incredible trio and all of the creative bloggers who attended Blogcademy I would have to say my highlight was…wait I can’t possibly think of just one.
The two day event was an endless flurry of precious gems. Behind the meticulous attention to detail, design and style flowed a continuous stream of powerful, practical and real strategies for every individual in the room.
Both days I purposefully sat in the back row, not for the rebel factor but because I love to feel the energy of a crowd with such inspiring speakers. So rich; the sounds of glitter pens scribing, heads nodding, light bulbs going off, brains and hearts bursting with excitement.
What Gala, Kat and Shauna offered was consistently authentic and juicy they had everyone captivated from the get go.
To say I was a little star struck would not be far from the truth, having followed their rise to fame over the years it was quite dazzling to finally be in the same room as all three ladies. Glitz and girlie crushes aside these three have done their work and impressed with far more than sparkling ears (uber cute ones) It is no easy task to put such meaty chunks of successful marketing, design, internet and writing wisdom in to digestible gold for such a broad market but the Blogcademy scored 10/10 on so many levels.
The Blogcademy sets a new standard in boutique business workshop; the rest of the world needs to take note.
