How to hoop when you are not really hooping

These days when I think hoop jam, I think “yay hanging out with my mates chatting” Yes a hoop jam usually involves me doing a whole lot more talking than hooping. In fact I stopped going to hoop jams or even running them because they began to feel really un(hoop)productive for me. I would leave feeling like I had hardly hooped at all (but had fabulous catch ups with friends so they were definitely always fun!)

Then what I noticed was I would stand around chatting or watching but do repetitive left and right movements or breaks. Never underestimate the power of a good ‘ol break and reverse session. While I thought I wasn’t “hooping” I was in fact strengthening my left and right body and brain.
