Hoop Love Your Body Beginner Hula Hoop Workout

Hoop Love Your Body started from a desire to build  a movement practice that was conscious, connected and flexible. A series of workouts, hoop drills and training sessions that would keep hoopers focussed, strong…but they had to be FUN!

My daily plan had to have a structure, so I didn’t get to the gym/park/studio/backyard and not know what to do or waste my time, it needed to be flexible in case my schedule changed, it needed to motivate me and be super effective for regaining my strength, fitness, balance and super hooper powers…plus elevate my mood and help me feel changes.

Woah. That was a lot.

I brought together all of the fun and effective elements that had given me success and made me feel amazing (most important!) over the years. Let’s call them the Hoop Love Your Body Elements.

Hula Hoop Workout for Beginners – Waist Hooping

One of the most fun hoop elements is the HLYB Workout. This is an interval training style workout. There are 8 intervals, 30-40secs each with a 10 sec rest for transition or stretch. That is 7 moves plus 1 flow session using the 7 selected moves. Check out the chart below to make up your own HLYB workouts or follow along with me int he video examples. You are going to love these full body workouts. Not only will they help you drill some moves for awesome hoop break throughs but they are ideal to mix in with your daily movement and exercise schedule.
